The Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord was an adventure motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia in 2001. It was part of the same family as the Aprilia RST 1000 Futura and RSV Mille. It continued production until 2017.
The first series was introduced in 2001 and continued production until 2003, benefiting from a frame design gained over years of experience in the 125 and 250 World Championship classes.
In 2004, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord, an adventure motorcycle part of the second series with several visual, technical, and mechanical modifications. It also featured ABS as standard.
Visually, the bike was fitted with standard features such as a half fairing with a large headlight, a medium-sized windscreen, a two-piece dual seat with passenger grab rails, an engine cover, and wire-spoke wheels.
The bike was built around a twin-beam box-type aluminum-magnesium alloy frame packing a 50 mm Marzocchi telescopic fork with 175 mm of travel on the front and an aluminum alloy swingarm with a Sachs shock absorber with 185 mm of travel on the rear.
As for power, the 2004 Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord had its heartbeat set by a 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine paired to a fuel injection system, boasting 98 hp at 8,250 rpm and 97 Nm (72 lb-ft) torque at 6,250 rpm.
