The Aprilia ETV Caponord was an adventure motorcycle produced by Aprilia between 2001 and 2017. In addition, the bike was part of the same family as the Aprilia RST 1000 Futura and RSV Mille.
In 2006, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord, a motorcycle part of the second series that debuted in 2004 with several visual, technical, and mechanical modifications.
The 2006 Caponord model was similar to the previous one, packing the exact technical, visual, and performance specifications without significant modifications. The tiny air deflectors on the sides were eliminated compared to the first series model.
In the aesthetic department, the motorcycle had standard features, such as wire-spoke wheels, an engine cover, a two-piece dual seat with passenger grab rails, a medium-sized windscreen, and a half fairing with a large headlight.
In the performance department, the 2006 Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord had installed a 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine at its core. The powerhouse was coupled to a fuel injection system, boasting 98 hp with maximum strength at 8,250 rpm and 97 Nm (72 lb-ft) torque at 6,250 rpm.
The bike's front end was handled by a 50 mm Marzocchi telescopic fork with 175 mm of travel and two 300 mm discs with dual-piston calipers. In contrast, the rear end was controlled by a Sachs shock absorber with 185 mm of travel and a 270 mm disc with a dual-piston caliper.
