The Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord was an adventure motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia from 2001 and continued production until 2017. The bike was part of the same family as the Aprilia RST 1000 Futura and RSV Mille.
The first series was made from 2001 until 2003. The second series was produced since 2004 and received several visual, technical, and mechanical modifications, enhancing its overall capabilities.
In 2007, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord, an enduro motorcycle in its fourth year of production, part of the second series. Since its introduction in 2004, the bike has remained essentially unchanged, packing the same specifications.
Visually, the motorcycle had standard fittings, like wire-spoke wheels, a high-mounted exhaust system, a two-piece dual seat with pillion grab rails, a wide handlebar with hand guards, a windscreen, and a half fairing with a large headlight unit.
The 19-inch front wheel was guided by a 50 mm Marzocchi telescopic fork and stopped by two 300 mm discs paired with four-piston calipers. In contrast, the 17-inch rear wheel was handled by an adjustable Sachs shock absorber and a 270 mm disc with a two-piston caliper.
As for the power figures, the 2007 Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord boasted 98 hp with a peak force at 8,250 rpm and 97 Nm (72 lb-ft) torque at 6,250 rpm. The power was produced by a 998cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled engine with a fuel injection system feeding the pistons.
