In 2007, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia RXV 450, an off-road motorcycle similar to the larger RSV 550 model but with lower performance specifications.
The Aprilia RXV was a series of four-stroke V-twin off-road motorcycles produced by Aprilia starting in 2006. The bike was available in 450 and 550cc. Alongside the RXV, the maker released the SXV series, a dual-sport supermoto bike also available in two displacements.
In the aesthetic department, the bike had standard features, like a high-mounted front fender, a small headlight integrated into a tiny cowl, a single seat, a high-mounted exhaust system, a dual-sided aluminum swingarm, an engine plate, and wire-spoke wheels with off-road tires.
The braking system was retained from the larger model, comprising a 270 mm wave disc coupled to a four-piston caliper and a 240 mm wave disc with a dual-piston caliper on the rear, providing optimum stopping power.
As for suspension, the bike packed the same 45 mm upside-down telescopic fork on the front and an adjustable rear shock absorber like on the RXV 550 version, delivering excellent handling capabilities.
In the performance department, the 2007 Aprilia RXV 450 had installed a 449cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled engine at its core, boasting 60 hp at 13,000 rpm and 54 Nm (40 lb-ft) torque at 11,000 rpm.
