In 2012, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia RXV 450, an off-road motorcycle that came in the same shape and form as the previous model without any significant changes whatsoever.
The Aprilia RXV was a range of four-stroke V-twin off-road motorcycles manufactured by Aprilia since 2006. The bike was available in 450 and 550cc versions. Alongside the RXV, the maker released the SXV series, a dual-sport supermoto bike also available in two displacements.
As for the standard features, the bike was fitted with a high-mounted front fender, a small headlight, a single two-tone seat, an under-seat-mounted exhaust, a dual-sided aluminum swingarm, an engine plate, and wire-spoke wheels with black rims and off-road tires.
Performance-wise, the 2012 Aprilia RXV 450 had installed a 449cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled engine with a fuel injection system feeding the pistons, delivering 60 hp at 13,000 rpm and 54 Nm (40 lb-ft) torque at 11,000 rpm.
The bike's power was controlled by a five-speed manual transmission with a cable-operated wet multi-plate clutch that sent the power to the rear end through a final chain drive, launching the motorcycle to a top speed of 183 kph (114 mph).
From top speed to a complete stop, the bike relied on a 270 mm brake disc with a four-piston caliper mounted on the front wheel and a 240 mm brake disc with a two-piston caliper mounted on the rear wheel.
