In 2007, the Italian motorcycle maker released the Aprilia RXV 550, an off-road motorcycle in its second year of production. It came in the same shape and form as the previous model, featuring the same technical, visual, and performance specifications without any modifications.
The Aprilia RXV was a line of four-stroke V-twin off-road motorcycles made by Aprilia starting in 2006. The bike was available in 450 and 550cc. Alongside the RXV, the maker released the SXV series, a dual-sport supermoto bike also available in two displacements.
The bike was identical to the previous model, packing standard features, such as a high-mounted front fender, a small headlight integrated into a small cowl, a single seat, a dual-sided aluminum swingarm, and wire-spoke wheels shod with off-road tires.
The bike's perimeter steel frame was coupled to a 45 mm upside-down telescopic fork on the front and an adjustable shock absorber on the rear, delivering excellent suspension performance and handling capabilities.
As for the braking power, the bike packed a 270 mm wave disc coupled to a four-piston caliper mounted on the front and a 240 mm wave disc with a dual-piston caliper on the rear, providing optimum stopping power.
As for the power figures, the 2007 Aprilia RXV 550 had installed a 549cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine at its core, boasting 70 hp at 13,000 rpm and 66 Nm (49 lb-ft) torque at 10,900 rpm.
