The Aprilia RXV was a line of four-stroke V-twin off-road motorcycles made by Aprilia starting in 2006. The bike was available in 450 and 550cc. Alongside the RXV, the maker released the SXV series, a dual-sport supermoto bike also available in two displacements.
In 2008, the Italian motorcycle maker released the Aprilia RXV 550, an off-road motorcycle that came in the same shape and form as the previous model but with several technical and visual changes.
The 2008 motorcycle came with a two-tone black and red seat, a new lightweight racing headlight, an aggressive nose, new graphics, and other essential details that significantly reduced weight.
Other modifications included a new fuel tank, a new handlebar with race-oriented controls, a new choke, new stainless steel silencers, and a new suspension setting that improved stability and offered better damping on rough roads.
Visually, the bike had standard fittings, like a high-mounted front fender, a small headlight integrated into a small cowl, a single seat, under-seat-mounted silencers, an engine plate, and wire-spoke wheels with off-road tires.
In the performance department, the 2008 Aprilia RXV 550 had installed a 549cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine at its core that delivered an output power of 70 hp with a peak force at 13,000 rpm and 66 Nm (49 lb-ft) torque at 10,900 rpm.
