The Aprilia RXV was a family of four-stroke V-twin off-road motorcycles made by Aprilia starting in 2006. The bike was available in 450 and 550cc versions. Alongside the RXV, the maker released the SXV series, a dual-sport supermoto bike also available in two displacements.
In 2010, the Italian motorcycle maker released the Aprilia RXV 550, an off-road motorcycle fitted with top-end technology. The bike resembled its smaller 450cc version but delivered better performance specifications.
The 2010 model came with the same package as the 2009 RXV 550, delivering the same visual, technical, and performance specifications without any significant modifications whatsoever.
The bike was fitted with standard features, such as wire-spoke wheels with black rims and off-road tires, an engine plate, an under-seat-mounted exhaust system, a single two-tone seat, a small headlight, and a high-mounted front fender.
As for power, the 2010 Aprilia RXV 550 was set in motion by a 550cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine that delivered an output power of 70 hp with a peak force at 13,000 rpm and 66 Nm (49 lb-ft) torque at 10,900 rpm.
In the braking department, the motorcycle's wheels were fitted with a 270 mm brake disc tied to a four-piston caliper on the front and a 240 mm disc with a dual-piston caliper on the rear, offering excellent stopping power.
