The Aprilia SX 125 was a supermoto motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia since 2008. The bike was destined for young sports riders and incorporated many features that contributed to the tremendous success of the RSV and SXV models.
Also, Aprilia was the first manufacturer to introduce dramatic innovations to the design of enduro and motard motorcycles. The SX and RX share a clear Aprilia family look inspired by their bigger sisters, establishing a whole new trend in off-road design.
In 2008, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia SX 125, a small displacement motorcycle with on-road tires and an off-road appearance. The bike suited the young riders but also the more seasoned ones alike.
Visually, the bike had standard fittings, such as a high-mounted front fender, a one-piece dual seat, a high-mounted exhaust system, a dual-sided swingarm, a side stand, and wire-spoke wheels with aluminum rims and road tires.
The bike packed a 40 mm upside-down telescopic fork on the front with 260 mm of travel and a hydraulic monoshock on the rear with 270 mm of travel, offering excellent suspension performance and handling.
As for the power figures, the 2008 Aprilia SX 125 had its soul brought to life by a 124cc two-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that delivered an output power of 22 hp and 16 Nm (12 lb-ft) torque.
