In 2009, the Italian motorcycle maker introduced the Aprilia SXV 450, a motorcycle in its fourth consecutive production year. The motorcycle packed the same technical, visual, and performance specifications as the 2008 model without any changes.
The Aprilia SXV was a dual-sports supermoto motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia from 2006 to 2010. The SXV was available in two versions: the 450cc version and the slightly larger 550cc displacement.
The bike's frame was made of tubular steel and aluminum plates and the compact engine was mounted into the frame in a way so that the air filter was placed on top of the engine rather than in the more traditional location.
Visually, the 2009 SXV 450 model had standard features, such as a high-mounted front fender, a small headlight, a single seat, a dual-sided aluminum alloy swingarm, an engine cover, and wire-spoke wheels with road tires.
As for the power figures, the 2009 Aprilia SXV 450 had its heartbeat set by a 449cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine with a fuel injection system in charge, boasting 60 hp with maximum strength at 13,000 rpm.
In the braking department, the 2009 SXV 450 had its wheels fitted with 320 mm wave disc, a four-piston caliper on the front, and a 240 mm wave disc with a two-piston caliper on the rear, providing optimum braking performance.
