The BMW S 1000 XR was a sport-touring motorcycle that debuted in 2015. The bike was presented at the 2014 EICMA Show in Milan, Italy, while the production started on April 1 and went on sale on June 13.
The half-fired motorcycle was based on the BMW S 1000 R naked machine and was marketed as an Adventure Sports Bike. Also, the bike was the fourth model with a four-cylinder engine and was assembled at the BMW plant in Berlin.
In 2023, the German motorcycle manufacturer introduced the BMW S 1000 XR, an enhanced version of the long-distance sports bike with more power, better ergonomics, a more refined design, and more standard features.
The bike's rear section is now complemented by new side panels and air intakes inspired by motorsports, offering a more dynamic appearance. In addition, the radiator trim has a textured surface, and the beak is painted in body color instead of black.
The new BMW S 1000 XR featured an optimized Shift Assistant Pro system for higher precision, a new batter with more amperage, and three color schemes. Blackstorm Metallic, Gravitblue Metallic, and Lightwhite Solid Paint/ Motorsport.
In the performance department, the 2023 BMW S 1000 XR packs a 999cc four-stroke four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that delivers an output power of 170 hp with a peak force at 11,000 rpm and 114 Nm (84 lb-ft) torque at 9,250 rpm.
