The Kawasaki Ninja 650R, also known as the EX-6 or ER-6F, was a standard motorcycle manufactured by Kawasaki from 2005 until 2017. The bike featured modern styling, a low riding position, and a low center of gravity.
In 2009, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer launched the Kawasaki ER-6f, a standard machine that featured several internal modifications to the engine for faster revving, changes to the steel frame for better handling, and tweaks to the fuel injection for smoother low and mid-range engine response.
In the visual department, the bike had equipped standard features, such as a full fairing with a dual headlight system, a tall windscreen, a one-piece dual seat, an under-belly exhaust system, and six-spoke lightweight wheels.
In 2009, alongside the ER-6f, the maker released the Kawasaki ER-6n in the US market, the naked cousin of the faired version. The ER-6n version featured optional passenger grab rails, while both models were available with ABS.
Underneath its fuel tank, the 2009 Kawasaki ER-6f had installed a 649cc four-stroke parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine managed by a fuel injection system, delivering 72 hp at 8,500 rpm and 66 Nm (49 lb-ft) torque at 6,000 rpm.
The engine power was transferred to a six-speed manual transmission with a wet multi-plate clutch and then sent to the rear wheel through a final chain drive, pushing the motorcycle to a top speed of 200 kph (124 mph).
