　　The 2009 MY Piaggio FLY 50 sports an air-cooled, four-stroke, 49cc, single cylinder Piaggio HI-PER4 lump mated to an automatic transmission, and produces 11 horsepower and 3.5 Nm of torque. Features worth mentioning are the low, 30.9" seat height, which means it can accommodate a wide variety of riders, an electric start with emergency kick starter, an under-seat storage area that can fit a full size helmet, as well as an electronic immobilizer system and a glove and cell phone compartment. Furthermore, it can be purchased with an optional windscreen, top case or an electronic alarm.
