In 2021, Triumph included two special edition models in their line-up, the Triumph 3 R 221 and the more touring-oriented Triumph 3 GT 221. The two machines were named after their world-leading 221 Nm torque produced by the world's largest production engine.
The 221 Special Edition machines were available for only one year and combined a unique color scheme with class-leading performance, a muscular appearance, excellent handling, and light touring capabilities.
The 2021 Triumph 3 R 221's distinctive style was enhanced by a new paint scheme with a striking Red Hopper fuel tank and front fender, contrasting uniquely with the Sapphire Black mudguard brackets, headlight housing, side panels, fly screen, radiator cowls, and rear bodywork.
Known for its largest production engine in the world, the 2021 Triumph 3 R 221 Limited Edition, along with its touring-oriented brother, delivered world-leading performance from a low rev range, and with 221 Nm torque on board, the bike was the one with the most torquier engine in the world.
Both motorcycles were powered by a 2,458cc four-stroke inline three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with an electronic fuel injection system in charge, delivering an output power of 167 hp with maximum strength at 6,000 rpm and 221 Nm (163 lb-ft) torque with a maximum peak at 4,000 rpm.
In addition, Triumph made available 50+ Genuine Triumph Accessories designed along with the bike and tested to the same durability and quality standards, providing enhanced comfort, security, practicality, and style.
