What’s new
For 2004, the E-Class wagon benefits from the same full redesign the sedan received last year. A V8-powered version of the wagon is available this year and the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system is optional on both sedans and wagons. Finally, the DVD-based navigation system, which was delayed for 2003, is on the options list this year.

Although it costs more than its peers, a combination of excellent driving dynamics, numerous safety and luxury features and high style make the E-Class one of our favorites.
