Land Rover's venerable PR machine paraded every generation of Discovery through Windsor Great Park today. Check out the first-ever Disco next to the millionth one built. They've definitely given her a prettier smile, but they really nailed the graphics on that three-door.

The facelifted Discovery II from 2003-2004 will always be my pick of the range, but out of these I'd have to lean toward the modern machine on the right. The very first Discos had headlights that were just a little too small (pulled off some British van, I think) and a grille that didn't say "clear out, peasant!" like the later models did.

Would really love to give that Camel Trophy truck a go. Which would be your Discovery?
