10K Mile '81 Cadillac Cimarron For $8,995: Nice Price Or Crack Pipe?
10K Mile '81 Cadillac Cimarron For $8,995: Nice Price Or Crack Pipe?-March 2024

A decisive 85% of you felt that the required a major helping of Hubba Rocks to look like a wise investment, but today's choice might be more of a dilemma. Yes, the Cimarron was a total disaster for Cadillac, diluting its brand at the worst possible time, but that makes it a historically significant car… and has found this super-original, low-mileage example in a used-car dealership with an $8,995 price tag. You might be looking at the best Cimarron on the planet here; check out , then make the jump to read his comments on this fine Cadillac compact and vote in the NPOCP poll.

I saw this a week or two back at a Worcester MA car dealership and thought it might be right up your alley.

It is an near-perfect all-original (less CD player) 1981 Cadillac Cimarron with 10,500(!) original miles. It may be most perfectly preserved example of the worst Cadillac ever. They were asking $8,995 for it.

The 2015 Volkswagen Golf R Is Good At Everything And Has Fun Doing It
The 2015 Volkswagen Golf R Is Good At Everything And Has Fun Doing It
In this incredible era of near-perfect, record-shattering, computer-aided performance, one traditional quality is increasingly in short supply: personality. Character, some might call it. Technical prowess has a way of ironing out the things that make cars truly memorable beyond just their speed and handling. This is not a problem with...

For $2,900, This 1965 Chevy Van Could Be Your 4x4 War Wagon
When you want to - or need to - really get away, there’s no better way than in a 4X4 Van. Today’s Chevy Van pushes all the right buttons, but will its price, title, and - well, creep factor - doom it from the start? The Bluesmobile was an old...

For $4,650, This 2002 Isuzu Rodeo Will Flip Its Lid, And That’s No Lie
Prevaricating Joe Isuzu is one of advertising’s most beloved characters. In fact, if the vehicles he hawked had been half as well liked, Isuzu would still be selling them here. For today’s we have one for sale - used of course - but will you truthfully love its price? Last...

For $6,200, This 1972 Volvo P-1800ES Is Your Herrgårdsvagn För Jakt
At first Volvos weren’t boxy, and then they were. Now, once again, they aren’t. Today’s P-1800 is from the first non-boxy time, but will its price have you thinking outside the box? If the closest you’ve ever gotten to a rodeo is a mechanical bull - and you’ve got the...

How About $4,000 for a 1977 AMC Gremlin X That’ll Lend You A Hand?
How About $4,000 for a 1977 AMC Gremlin X That’ll Lend You A Hand?
Today’s Gremlin is set up for a previous owner who required a hand throttle and brake. That’d be way interesting to drive, even if you don’t actually need it, but does this American Motors’ price make it a bird in the hand? Yesterday’s may have given you tetanus from scratching...

For $7,500, This Rotary-Powered 1981 Toyota Starlet Is Your Red Dwarf
Top Gear famously put a star in a reasonably priced car. I want to put someone in today’s rotary-powered Starlet, but only if it’s in fact determined to be, reasonably priced. Of the Seventies’ U.S.-built import fighters only AMC’s Gremlin managed to survive without some catastrophic brand hobbling malady afflicting...
