2010 Lincoln MKZ: Part Three
2010 Lincoln MKZ: Part Three-November 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:10:18

So the wears fancier britches, upgrades the interior and it's got all the mechanical upgrades bestowed upon the , but who should buy it?

You need a car that looks nice and gets you where you're going comfortably. You used to drive a Mustang GT, but now that you've got a kid and a respectable job, you need to step it up. You fancy yourself a Lincoln man, but aren't ready to pay MKS bucks nor do you need the space. You think your buddies paying a premium for German brands are idiots and besides, you don't need the razor sharp performance or the maintenance bills. You own a very nice JCPenny suit.

Wrong-way-drive cars make your skin itch, even if they do an excellent job of pretending they aren't. You consider luxury cars to be as much about the emblem on the grille as the car behind it. You aren't swayed by "Buy American" sentiment in the face of stiff competition and a somewhat dear price tag, (in any case, this car hails from Mexico). You already test drove a Fusion and don't see what the big deal is about the Lincoln version. You still think Lincoln is an old man's brand.

For $12,000, How About This Amazing 1970 VW Custom Coffin?
It’s been said that it’s not the cough that carries you off, but the coffin they carry you off in. You might get carried off with today’s custom Vee-Dub, but will its price still bury its chances? Have you ever spent an inordinate amount of time trying to decipher the...

What The 2017 Porsche 911 GTS Is Missing Is Fun
You have high expectations for an “enthusiast-spec” Porsche, and the lives up to a lot of them. Hell, it steps to twice the speed limit in as long as it took you to read this introduction. But for all its power and precision, the car doesn’t have much personality. (:...

At $24,995, Could The Seller Of This 1978 Cadillac Seville Elegante Be Serious?
The seller of today’s Seville calls it a “no hit car” indicating an accident-free existence. It’s got low miles and high class, but will its price prove a hit with you? You say tomato and I say tomato, you say kit car and I say component car… let’s call the...

For $4,500, Could This 1996 Chevy Corvette Be Worth The Gamble?
Today’s C4 ‘Vette is described as having ONE MILE on a set of rebuilt heads. It has a LOT more than that in total, and a kind of sketchy history, but will its price make it all worthwhile? Fully 60-percent of you were not onboard with the seller’s price for...

The Fiat 124 Spider Is The Ultimate Italian-American Car
You may not look at the Mazda Miata-based and say, “Viva l’italia!” But why would you? It’s a Japanese car sold by an Italian-American company. But when I drove one for the first time, something strange happened. I think I found the automotive embodiment of myself: energetic, easy to beat...

For $20,000, Could This 1983 Bremen Sebring Totally Raise The Roof?
You’ve heard of Quattroportes and Monopostos but how about a monoporte? Today’s Bremen Sebring lets you pop its top to get inside. Let’s see if this rare component car should have buyers popping for its price. On first pass, forty-five hundred for yesterday’s seemed like a slam dunk. Then reality...
