Ford's PR team has been snapping pictures of their trucks in action at the massive Barrick gold mine in Nevada. One caption revealed these F-150s are aluminum 2015 prototypes disguised in the old body style, and have been in service for three years!

No details yet on how the trucks are being used or what the extent of Barrick's partnership with Ford is, but I'm sure we'll hear more from them officially soon.

Ford has done a damn good job ... just how many aluminum F-150s have been living among us before the launch?
