A legit looking 2016 Range Rover pricing guide has leaked, putting the base Range Rover Sport SE at $64,950 and the new Td6 diesel version starting just $1,500 higher at $66,450. Not a cheap car, but an amazingly inexpensive premium for diesel.

Still waiting to hear back from Land Rover regarding an official response, but they’ll almost definitely say “can’t comment on future product” either way.

For some context, the diesel engine option in a new pickup truck is usually like four grand at least. Even a 2015 Volkswagen Golf TDI gets a $3,100 price bump over a gasoline-burning equivalent.

Land Rover fan/news blog got the sheet from a tipster named Jesse, which lays out option pricing for the 3.0 supercharged V6 and Td6 diesel models. Check it:

I know that gets a little confusing because the Range Rover Sport Supercharged is, obviously, also boosted. Every new non-diesel Range Rover Sport is supercharged, but when “Supercharged” is in the name Land Rover is referring to the faster 5.0 V8. Otherwise it’s the 3.0 V6. Got it?

The 2016 Range Rover Sport diesel is supposed to get as much as 28 MPG for a fuel range of over 650 miles. Not to mention 254 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque from just 1,750 RPM.

Could a Range Rover Sport with good fuel economy and craploads of torque be the perfect vehicle? I mean, yeah. Obviously.

And unlocking that for a mere fifteen hundred bucks would suh-weet.
