2017 Range Rover Evoque Convertible: This Is It
2017 Range Rover Evoque Convertible: This Is It-August 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:13:18

Yes, this is for real. Land Rover went there. Meet the long-awaited (?) Range Rover Evoque with the optional roof that... someone, I guess, has always wanted.

I don’t know who those people are either, besides and people who always wanted to go upmarket after owning a Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet. Either way, it’s legit, and coming to the Los Angeles Auto Show next week. (Of course it’s debuting at the LA Auto Show. This is basically Los Angeles itself, in vehicle form.)

Actually that looks really, really fun. I take back everything I just said.

Land Rover says the Evoque Covertible’s top goes down in 18 seconds, and its position won’t interfere with the 9 cubic feet of cargo space you get in the trunk, making this about the most spacious droptop around.

Other higlights include a 10.2-inch touchscreen with their all-new infotainment system, 2.0-liter gasoline and diesel four-cylinder engines (but only one of those at a time), and optional four-wheel drive so you can enjoy your Evoque Convertible anywhere.

Pricing starts at $50,475 when it goes on sale next year. Ridiculous, but maybe in a good way.

Which International Scout Should I Buy: Original 80/800 Or Scout II?
Turns out buying an International Scout is tougher than I'd thought it'd be. When I finally land on one that feels right, a buyer flakes or somebody scoops it. But the biggest obstacle to getting a Scout has been my own indecisiveness; I can't decide which body style I like...

Willie Nelson's Tour Bus Might Have Just Won Craigslist
Some dude in Tyler, Texas is getting inundated with calls and emails about a 1983 Eagle Bus he claims did tour duty for musician, poet, and living legend Willie Nelson. With air-brushed eagles and a chapel interior it certainly looks the part. Think it's the genuine article? Seller says it...

BMW Rescue Rigs Are The Classiest Rides To The Hospital
Doesn't matter if they're built for the autobahn or hauling bloody bodies to the hospital, it seems like BMWs always return to their natural environment: posing in valet lines waiting for pretty people to pick them up. BMW is exhibiting their latest line of first-response vehicles at this year's RETTmobil,...
