DUCATI1199 Panigale S 2012 - 2013

　　The history of the Ducati Panigale family is going back to its first days in 2011. Another member ready to join the family is the new 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale S, designed as a more powerful version of the Panigale, and with more new features.

　　The 2013 S model is powered by the same 1198cc Superquadro Desmodromic liquid-cooled engine as the lesser model, sending the power through a six-speed gearbox that releases an output power of 194 hp at 10,750 rpm and 132 Nm (97 lb-ft) of torque.

　　The 1199 Panigale S is equipped with a cast aluminum monocoque chassis, replacing Ducati’s conventional frame. The suspension consists of a fully adjustable Ohlins NIX30 43 mm fork at the front, and a fully adjustable Ohlins TTX36 unit at the back.

　　In addition to the previous model, the S comes with full LED Headlights, a carbon fiber front mudguard, Marchesini machine-finished wheels, and Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES). The Panigale S puts its faith in the two Brembo 330 mm discs at the front and one 245 mm disc at the back for stopping power.

　　Ducati made a special edition of this 1199 Panigale S, in memory of one of the world’s greatest Formula 1 drivers, Ayrton Senna. The bike celebrated 20 years since his death, and it was called Ducati 1199 Panigale S Senna. This commemorative motorcycle was exclusively made for Brazil, and only 161 units have been manufactured.
