The Ducati Panigale V4 was a sports machine manufactured by the Italian maker from 2018, named after the small town of Borgo Panigale. The Panigale V4 was the first large-production motorcycle ever fitted with a V4 engine.
The Italian manufacturer continued its evolution of the Ducati Panigale V4 in 2023, introducing several electronic improvements that enhanced the bile's performance and made it easier to handle by riders of experience levels.
The 2023 lineup included the Ducati Panigale V4, V4 S, and V4 SP2, which all benefitted from the same updated electronic package, increasing the riding feel and performance on the racetrack.
The 2023 Ducati Panigale V4 S machine received a new Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO 2 software with different gear-by-gear calibration on all three selectable levels for improved stability, precision, and directionality.
The 2023 upgrades were complemented by revised Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Ride-by-Wire systems. The DTC was improved to deliver more accurate control, and the Ride-by-Wire system improved the connection between the requested and provided torque.
Underneath its clothes, the 2023 Ducati Panigale V4 S was fitted with a 1,103cc liquid-cooled V4 engine fed by an electronic fuel injection system, boasting 216 hp with a peak at 13,000 rpm and 123 Nm (91 lb-ft) torque at 9,500 rpm.
The bike's riding was handled by an aluminum alloy "Fron Frame" with an optimized stiffness, fitted with a 43 mm fully-adjustable Ohlins telescopic fork on the front and a fully-adjustable Ohlins TTX 36 unit on the rear, providing excellent handling performance.
