The Yamaha XJR1300 was a roadster-type motorcycle manufactured by Yamaha from 1999 to replace the XJR1200 model and continued production until 2016. The bike was presented at the end of 1998 and featured a displacement increase from 1,188 to 1,251cc.
In 2001, the bike received several modifications aimed to improve its dynamic behavior, such as slightly larger carburetors, a more rigid front fork, Ohlins rear shocks, modified rims, swingarm, tank, and exhaust, which resulted in six kg (13 lbs) less weight. Also, in 2007, the bike was updated with a new fuel injection system, offering smoother power delivery.
In 2012, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer launched the Yamaha XJR1300, a modern motorcycle with a classic appearance and a naked style that proudly displayed the massive engine.
The bike was equipped with standard features, such as a large round headlight up front with two gauges mounted on top, a one-piece dual seat with a passenger grab rail, a four-into-one exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the right side, and three-spoke lightweight aluminum wheels.
In the performance department, the 2012 Yamaha XJR1300 had its soul brought to life by a 1,251cc four-stroke four-cylinder air-cooled engine with an electronically controlled fuel injection system in charge, boasting 98 hp at 8,000 rpm and 108 Nm (80 lb-ft) torque at 6,000 rpm.
