This 1951 Ford of Germany Taunus brochure devotes a whole page and three careful illustrations to the rear package shelf, door pockets, and a little carve-out for rear passenger elbows. I wonder how many final purchase decisions were made because of one of these things? I wonder how many Ford sales that elbow cubby stole from, say, Opel?
