Brad Keselowski Secures Team Penske's 500th Win in Las Vegas
Brad Keselowski Secures Team Penske's 500th Win in Las Vegas-April 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:13

The answer to the question many of us race fans have been wondering has been answered. Who’s going to be the driver to secure Team Penske’s 500th win? Brad Keselowski responded to the call.

Keselowski has been on a roll. Despite dominating the last three races, the odds weren’t necessarily in his favor when rolling into the South Point 400, the first race of the playoffs at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. But he proved to be next to unstoppable as soon as the engines fired, despite the fact that it was a for plenty of the playoff guys. And that’s even with Keselowski duking it out neck-and-neck with drivers like Joey Logano and Martin Truex Jr.

But at the same time, we can’t over-exaggerate how incredible it is that this also happened to be Team Penske’s 500th win in all categories of motorsport. The team debuted at the 1966 24 Hours of Daytona, and since then have raced cars in everything from Can-Am, Trans-Am, IndyCar, NASCAR, IMSA, Formula One, and more. You name it and Penske has probably entered a car in it.

That’s a pretty incredible empire for Roger Penske to have built essentially with his own two hands and the folks who saw potential in his vision. It hasn’t always been an easy road for the team, but it’s pretty badass to see the man at the helm of such an unheard of achievement.

If the whole 500-race-wins stat isn’t cool enough for you, you can also consider Penske’s seventeen Indy 500 wins and fifteen Indycar championships. Penske won the Indy 500 this year with Will Power. And it’s pretty fitting that Keselowski was the one to secure that 500th win, given he’s the only Penske driver to have won both a NASCAR Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series championships.

It’s pretty wild to imagine a team more successful—especially because this is just one more mile marker for Penske. There’s still a very successful future ahead of everyone involved in the team.

New England’s favorite metalcore sons Killswitch Engage will be on a track soon—figuratively, not literally, as one isn’t advised to casually venture onto a NASCAR track with the high-speed traffic and all—and so will all of my nostalgia from the years when I only wore hardcore band T-shirts with...

One Of Tesla's Nürburgring Cars Broke Down And Got Passed By A Porsche Taycan
The Nürburgring is host to a very exciting (if very unofficial) pissing contest between Tesla and Porsche over whose four-door electric car is the fastest around the track, and the results are impressive.
