The iconic from Bullitt is easily one of the top three greatest cars in the automotive history of Hollywood, one that inspired generations of youths (myself included) to fall in love with cars. Now, you can actually own the actual car used in the film, because it’s going to auction in January.

This is the very car that spent four decades missing, the one that made its debut reappearance at the North American International Auto Show in . It’s one of two that were used in the movie, and it’s still in relatively original condition. Yes, Steve McQueen fans—it’s about as close as you can get to meeting the man himself these days. And you get to admire all the battle scars from the film itself.

Only a few changes have been made. Minor parts, like the original steering wheel and shift knob, were stolen and had to be replaced. The engine also underwent a rebuild, using as many original Mustang parts as possible.

All said, though, it’s in pretty stunning shape for how old and coveted it is.

It’ll be up for auction in January at Mecum’s Kissimmee, Florida auction, its reports, and the car will appear at various automotive events leading up to that time. So, if you’re not able to buy it, you might still be able to lay your eyes on it.

There isn’t currently an estimated price for this bad boy, but if I had to guess, I’d say it’ll be A Lot. Given the fact that McQueen’s from the movie was estimated to sell at $800,000, there’s a pretty good chance this car will be worth millions, taking home the prize for most expensive car to cross the auction block at Kissimmee.

McQueen himself after filming Bullitt and failed miserably. Whoever ends up taking it home can comfort themselves on all that money spent by realizing they managed to do something pretty damn cool that McQueen never could.

For $10,000, This 1977 Matra-Simca Bagheera S Is A Triple Threat
Bagh is Hindi for cat and Bagheera is the name of the cunning panther in Kipling’s Mowgli stories. It’s also the name of today’s Matra, and it will be up to you to decide just how cunningly priced this rare cat is. I’m thinking that there must have been some...

For $6,200, This 1972 Volvo P-1800ES Is Your Herrgårdsvagn För Jakt
At first Volvos weren’t boxy, and then they were. Now, once again, they aren’t. Today’s P-1800 is from the first non-boxy time, but will its price have you thinking outside the box? If the closest you’ve ever gotten to a rodeo is a mechanical bull - and you’ve got the...

For $8,450, Is This 1977 Ford F150 A Real Steel Steal?
While today’s F150 may have an aluminum body and an EcoBoost heart, our ’77 is all about American steel and a big V8. However, will its price have you chanting U.S.A, U.S.A., U.S.A? Despite its 85% Nice Price win and rousing support in the comments, yesterday’s too cool for school...

For $3,350, This 1987 Mazda 626GT Is Five By Five
With its five doors, five speeds and a turbo four pot, today’s Mazda might have all the right numbers. You’ll still have to decide if its price adds up. I am shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, that so few thought that a wicked-weird rusty-framed French three-seat sports car built for...

For $3,900, Does This 1971 Peugeot 304 Belong Behind Velvet Ropes?
Doing his best Dr. Jones impersonation, the seller of today’s Peugeot 304 says that it belongs in a museum. Will his price however prove a worthy entry cost for you to see-um? On Friday we celebrated all things America in honor of our Independence Day, which in fact fell on...

For $4,650, This 2002 Isuzu Rodeo Will Flip Its Lid, And That’s No Lie
Prevaricating Joe Isuzu is one of advertising’s most beloved characters. In fact, if the vehicles he hawked had been half as well liked, Isuzu would still be selling them here. For today’s we have one for sale - used of course - but will you truthfully love its price? Last...
