Ducati just had its best month ever, delivering 7,309 bikes in April. That’s a 29 percent increase in sales over this time last year and blows past the previous record of 6,500 bikes sold in May of 2012. The reason? .

Ducati is already seeing a 10 percent bump in sales for the year, with a total of 17,881 sold in the first quarter. Much of that has to do with the Scrambler being the best-selling bike in Italy, where the company is seeing a 69 percent increase in its home country.

Sure, the new 1299 Panigale and Multistrada 1200 are helping with the uptick in sales, but the Scrambler’s success in Europe – including increases of 52 percent in Germany and 50 percent in the UK – are pointing towards a banner year.

Deliveries in the U.S. just started in the past month, and Ducati believes it’s going to boost sales in the States by around 20 percent.
