Tesla held its third-quarter earnings call last Wednesday, where management met with investors to talk through the past few months and reevaluate for the road ahead. In that call, CEO Elon Musk laid down : Sales are down, earnings are down, and costs have risen.

This isn’t unusual, all companies hit rough spots from time to time. Meetings like this often involve a CEO placating investors, telling them all the plans for the future, ways the company will bounce back. Musk, it seems, took a different approach: Nearly coming to tears live on the call.

Dan Ives, a Wall Street analyst, called the earnings call a “” with regard to Tesla’s profit margins and inconsistent pricing. Rather than address those concerns, Musk apparently focused on the Cybertruck and federal interest rates. Another analyst, Kevin Paffrath, gave even harsher words to :

Oh, my gosh, this was terrible. I feel bad for him. Look, he’s got a lot of things going on, legal battles, custody battles for his kids now, but it doesn’t justify acting like Trump on Twitter stonewalling the SEC or the European Union, and quite frankly turning into a little baby on the earnings call.

I mean, he was almost in tears. It showed a complete lack of leadership. Tesla’s a leadership-less company right now and it’s terrible. That’s why their CFO just left, I believe, as well.

Sounds like things are going great over at Tesla. Investors have long worried that would , and it seems their fears may be coming true — rather than planning paths to prosperity for Tesla, Musk seems content to whine on Twitter. And, apparently, on live calls with investors.

Custom Ford Thunderbird Proves Cars Look Better With an Oldsmobile Vista-Cruiser Roof
For sale on right now is a 1962 Ford Thunderbird with a 1965roof grafted onto it. It is a reminder that the Vista-Cruiser’s roof is the greatest lid to ever adorn an automobile. I’ve expressed my love for the Oldsmobile Vista-Cruiser , but it cannot be overstated: the skylights in...

God Help Me: I Am Obsessed With First-Generation Audi TTs on Craigslist
One huge part of being a car enthusiast is always wanting to own things you don’t have. Another huge part is undertaking heroic mental gymnastics to justify owning those things, especially when deep down you know it’s a horrible idea. I just swatted one of my bosses away from owning...

AC Schnitzer Type II Wheels Are The Definitive Late 1990s BMW Style
You probably know the German BMW tuning firmAC Schnitzer for building complete vehicles, or perhaps for its exhausts. The company even built a 424-horsepower diesel Z4 at one point, which is weird, cool, and good. But you may not know the company for its series of low-production lightweight wheels. They...

So It’s Come To This: Porsche 944s Are Expensive Now Too
Part of me knows I shouldn’t be shocked that someone paid $61,000 for a 1988 Turbo S today, but I feel like I can’t be the only one who became acquainted with these cars when they all seemed to be dilapidated cast-offs. And this feels like as good an excuse...

What Was Your Best Experience at a Car Dealership?
Around these parts we spend a considerable amount of internet ink railing on car dealers. They don’t make it difficult for us to do this—there is no end to tales of rude salespeople, shady deals, questionable math, insane markups, service nightmares and the occasional . But the dealers and techs...

Somebody Just Paid $173,600 for This Stock 1994 Toyota Supra
I don’t have the energy to be incredulous anymore, fam. But if I did, I’d be wide-eye head-shaking all over the place after hearing that a 1994 Toyota Supra sold for an ungodly sum of $173,600 at this weekend’s Amelia Island car auction. At first I wasn’t sure if that...
