Even The Sketch Of The New Mid-Engine Porsche 911 RSR Race Car Is Awesome
Even The Sketch Of The New Mid-Engine Porsche 911 RSR Race Car Is Awesome-May 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:27

Porsche appears to be doing the unthinkable and moving the engine in the new Porsche from the rear to the middle of the car and even the sketch alone looks unholy-wonderful.

Porsche put out the above sketch, showing a swan-neck rear wing for more aerodynamic efficiency, the bigger underbody diffuser that seems to have brought about this engine move and, well, not much else.

This still looks like a pretty normal 991-based widebody racer.

Even all of Porsche’s little video teasers of the car look pretty much as Porsches have looked for the past few years.

Only, you know, more modern and cooler.

It’s only a matter of time before we all become nostalgic for Porsche’s older rear-rear engine ways, but for now this little bit of modernity is impossibly neat. The full debut of this car will be in two days at the LA Auto Show. Me (and my drool) will be there.

All The Cool Cars From Today's Nürburgring 24 Practice
That’s a Motörhead 1 Series at the Nürburgring, and no, there will be no more mention of in this post, because I’ll have plenty about Jim and Co. later. Also, no Nissan GT-R either, because for some reason, I’m just not interested in them. I know it’s wrong and it’s...

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus didn’t leave anything to the last minute with the , and the team was pretty much ready to hit the Ring on Tuesday already. Yet that doesn’t mean they didn’t strip both cars bare naked numerous times for some final adjustments before the first practice laps, and...

Yes, unfortunately Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus lost one car for this weekend when Maccinadue hit a wall at 200 km/h at the Kesselchen during practice yesterday.
