The annual Geneva Motor Show like any other popular international motor show is well known for its debuts of various luxury and exotic vehicles, however the floors are also usually filled with radically designed concepts. Here are some of the wildest designed cars from the Geneva Motor Show.
A company called Nimrod Performance brought along the Zero supercar which is based on the Ferrari 458 Italia with many of its design details inspired by the LaFerrari. Finished in what seems to be a combination of yellow/gold and light orange/brown accents – the only thing unique from the Ferrari. The Zero further features a new nose that’s similar to that of the LaFerrari, as well as a new hood and a similar T-shaped rear fascia.
The Gumpert Explosion is an entry-level two seater powered by a 2.0-litre engine that develops 313 kW of power and 520 Nm of torque. Connected to either a six-speed manual or six-speed paddle shift which is paired to an all-wheel drive system allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km in just three seconds.
ItalDesign Giugiaro introduced its new Clipper concept which is described as a sporty and versatile MPV based on Volkswagen’s MQB platform. The 100% electric vehicle is equipped with two electric motors that each produce 110 kW. With an all-wheel drive system and a combined output of 220 kW, the MPV can hit a top speed of 204 km/h and travel up to 540 km on a single charge.
Lazareth, named after the designer Ludovic Lazareth, is a motorcycle and automobile tuner from France that produces custom vehicles for any type of use. In addition to its unique achievements, Lazareth Auto Moto produced in limited and numbered series of quads, motorcycles and Mini. Its latest, the Wazuma GT, presented at the Geneva show has four wheels and only three contact points and is fitted with a 4.0-litre, supercharged V8 engine that spits out 280 kW and 525 Nm to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission.
The radical orange two-seater Hyundai PassoCorto was spotted in Geneva sporting futuristic styling, carbon fibre monocoque chassis, a 1.6-litre twin-turbo engine outputting 201 kW of power, and it weighs only 850 kg. The wheel arches which emulate crab claws, wrap around the hood and cab, while a roof mounted camera provides both rear-view and drive filming.
