For $1,000, Go Deep In The Bush
For $1,000, Go Deep In The Bush-September 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:10:11

The new is Mighty, but unlike the Bosstones it's not Mighty Mighty. You can't buy that dream truck for all the rubies in the Rubicon, but you can buy today's ‘64 FC170. That is of course, if you think its price is mighty fine.

Powder that is fine, whether freshly fallen snow or Tony Montana's after dinner ‘mints' would prove no impediment to yesterday's due to its Debbie Dominatrix treads and can-do attitude. Unfortunately its price did prove a hurdle too high as it was unable to scrabble its way out of a 60% Crack Pipe loss.

The great thing about a WRC rally-bred car is its all terrain-ability- the only thing able to slow…

Lots of cars are claimed to be a barn find, but how many look like they've been discovered in an abandoned greenhouse? This appears to have been thus stumbled upon, presenting as agrestic and, lacking an engine, as un-self motivating as an oak.

The seller says that the original 226.2-cid six cylinder no longer rocks you like a hurricane, but that the FC is set up for a small-block Chevy, which may mean that was the engine he was thinking about while macheteing through the vines and brambles that had invaded the under-cab engine compartment. The rest of the 103-inch wheelbase truck is likewise infested with flora, from an iridescent hue peppering its frame to what looks like a briar patch growing within its stake bed backend. It's not surprising that a truck like this would go unnoticed for a long time in that condition, as it's painted in camouflage.

This being Portland, a city that gets more than its fair share of precipitation, it's also no wonder a sedentary truck might become an arboretum, after all, even the dude's house has soylent green growing on it. And, if you were to go there to see the truck, I wouldn't be surprised if the seller answered the door looking like .

Aside from that missing engine, the seller claims this FC170 to be complete which means once fitted with a power plant, and taking a weed wacker to it, you could be forward controlling in no time. And that time may be running out for this arboreal Jeep as the seller takes this (cover actually) from National Lampoon, and says that if you don't buy this Jeep, he's taking it to the scrap yard.

Buying it however shouldn't mean death to your bank account because he's only asking $1,000. We're not here to weigh whether or not a car or truck may be bought for the loose change and pocket lint one might be able to immediately scrounge, we're here to consider value, dammit! After all, herpes is free but who ever says yay, free herpes!? With that in mind do you think this bushy Jeep is worth a grand? Or, is it just too seedy for that kind of green?

You decide!

or go if the ad disappears.

God bless TimTim, one and all, for the hookup!

For $6,999, Might You Tee Up This 1981 VW Caddy?
For $6,999, Might You Tee Up This 1981 VW Caddy?
The seller of today’s Rabbit pickup says he doesn’t need your money. Why he’s then advertising the truck is beyond me, but he does say it’s the cleanest you find. Will its price tell yet another story? A lot of good things are wrapped. There are tasty gyros, thoughtfully planned...

For $5,500, Could This 1995 Ford F350 Crewcab Dually Really Make America Great Again?
Today’s N F350 has a Trump 2016 license plate on its front bumper. It is about the most stereotypically old school all-American thing you could buy, but will its price eventually also trump all? Do you remember back when you were a kid, your mom would always ask if you...

The 2017 Mercedes AMG GLS63 Is A Seven-Seat Supercar
If the ’s daddy was a muscle car, its mother must have been a private jet. But this high-capacity hot rod conducts itself politely—for the first centimeter or so of gas pedal travel. Press your right foot much deeper and this luxury liner turns into a 5,754-pounds of fat fury....

You Don't Deserve A Chevrolet SS But Go Get One Before It's Too Late
Take a look at yourself in the mirror. You have bad opinions and you only buy massive heaps of dumb shit. You don’t deserve anything good. “But I deserve nice things, I’m a nice person!” No. You’re terrible. You all never bought a , and now they’re gone with no...

For $4,000, Could This 1995 BMW 530iT Make It A Wrap?
The ad for today’s BMW 530iT notes that its paint is in fact a red vinyl wrap. Audiophiles may like vinyl, but will you auto-philes like the price on this vinyl’d and five-speed equipped wagon? I think it goes without saying that should you attempt to sell a limited production...

The Hummer H2 Is A Grand And Opulent Bad Idea
Once again, North America finds itself addicted to trucks and SUVs, spurred on by cheap gas. What we lack is a rolling symbol of this phenomenon; the last time it happened, it was without question the Hummer H2. It represented the pinnacle of early 2000s excess, extreme consumerism, General Motors’...
