For $40,000, This 1987 Porsche 911 Cab Is NSFW
For $40,000, This 1987 Porsche 911 Cab Is NSFW-June 2024

Today's Porsche has a crude epithet emblazoned on its limp donkey dong of an air intake, and visible under its rear wing. It's a bold statement to make to those who follow it, and we'll need to decide if a similar sentiment has been offered by the seller in setting this car's price.

Okay, just to be clear, yesterday's did NOT have a Cadillac steering wheel. The badge mistaken for a Caddy wreath in the grainy pic of the wheel is in fact the Wolfsburg Castle, which has no Cadillac style. A Caddy tiller probably wouldn't have had any effect on the car's 86% Crack Pipe loss either.

The windshield of today's Nice Price or Crack Pipe VW carries the self-deprecating proclamation…

Fuck off. That is what you would see if you were to follow today's as that is what is painted on the air intake - above an oversized Porsche badge and some reference to the 7-litres of engine that air intake feeds. Yes, 7-litres.

This custom cabriolet, with its lovely Speedster humps and whackadoodle wing, has given up on the whole flat six schtick and gone straight to that old reliable stand in for blue collar power, the Chevy V8. Here that's expressed in the form of a 427-cid LS7.

The engine of course sits bass-akwards necessitating the odd, and perhaps offensive air intake. Apparently it also requires the big-ass (literally) wing to cover it, although not even that is enough and the wrap-around intake stands proud, poking through the lid.

In front of the LS is a Getrag-sourced G50 gearbox and there are some big meats to make use of all that angry Chevy power. All that's wrapped in what's said to be carbon fiber Turbo bodywork, while inside there's Sparco buckets, a skinny-mini 6-point, and aftermarket gauges.

This whole thing together is sort of like if they got Werner Herzog to direct an Expendables movie. The Chevy mill will offend the Porsche purists, while the tramp stamp epithet will do the same for everyone else. It's an equal opportunity offender!

It's also $40,000, and I guess we've learned enough about this car to settle whether that's appropriate price or not. What do you think, is this LS7-equipped 911 worth that kind of cash? Or, is this a Porsche diminished by its mainstream mods?

You decide!

New Haven , or go if the ad disappears.

H/T to Brandon Frechette for the hookup!

You Know You Can Get A Nice Fiat 500 Abarth For Around $10,000, Right?
It’s another sad day for small cars as the This especially stings because the naughty, noisy was probably the most fun you can have in a car of that size. However, if we are really honest with ourselves, the real value for these cars were the pre-owned models because...

At $11,000, Is This 2005 Lexus LS430 'Ultra Luxury' An Ultra Good Deal?
If luxury isn’t enough—since only ultra luxury will do—then today’s Lexus may just be the car for you. That is, if its price isn’t ultra ridiculous. Many of you found yesterday’s fto be weird—an affront to your sensibilities even. That’s apparently not the case for everyone, as these trucks...

I Fly Private Jets And I Need A Car That Blends In With High Rollers For $30,000! What Should I Buy?
Brad flies private jets for a variety of clients, but despite the flashy nature of his job he has a pretty modest car. He is looking for something that can “blend in” a little better with some of the fancier rides that show up at the airport. However, he...

At $39,995, Would You Give This Supercharged 1982 Ferrari Mondial 8 A Second Look?
The Mondial 8 has never represented Ferrariat its finest. Today’s example certainly does look right dressed in its traditional coat of red, but will one-hundred additional supercharged ponies seal the deal in making its price look attractive? In much the same way you might swipe left on a Tinder...

At $17,000, Could This 1990 Ford Bronco Magnum Get You To Buck The Bronco Two-Door Trend?
Ford’s upcoming new Bronco will be a four-door, I guarantee it. If you can’t wait for that however, today’s Magnum custom has got you covered. Let’s see if you’d be willing to cover its price. Soichiro Honda founded his eponymous motor empire with the manufacture of piston rings. From...

Let's Configure Your Porsche Taycan
Shortly after the dropped, with 750 horsepower and a $185,000 price tag for certain versions, the configurator went up, too. Are you bored at work and need to kill some time? Let’s do this thing together! Naturally, I chose to go with the more expensive Taycan Turbo S because...
