TheFordTransit Custom and the Tourneo Custom has been confirmed for introduction into the South African market in the first quarter of 2013. The new model range represents a new generation of Ford one-tonne vehicles that will enter the Mini Bus and Large Panel Van segment.

Ford Transit and Tourneo Custom perfect for businesses

Both the Ford Transit Custom and Tourneo Custom will be offered in long or short wheelbase format. The Tourneo Custom offers seating for up to eight passengers with up to 30 different seating configurations available by folding and stowing the seats as required. Both models feature bold exterior designs which encompass Ford’s kinetic design used for its passenger vehicles. The Ford Transit Custom and the Tourneo Custom feature modern, driver-focused cockpits with a wide range of driver assistance technologies.

Both models will be fitted with Ford’s 2.2-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine. The new Transit Custom and Tourneo Custom will be built at Ford Otosan plant in Kocaeli, Turkey. More details will be provided closer to launch.
