Here Are Highlights From Our Big Driverless Car Throwdown Party In Austin-April 2024

Jalopnik SXSW 2016 Sizzle Reel_Updated.mp4

You know how I knew the over driverless cars would be good? Because it started almost immediately with a diatribe from Jason Torchinsky about robotic car enslavement. And Alex Roy talking about how he’ll stash motorcycles all over the city to do “a social good” if banning cars becomes an actual thing.

Once again, thanks for coming to our event in Austin earlier this month. We had 500 people show up, making it one of the biggest events we’ve ever thrown! And the biggest throwdown. (Also the only throwdown.)

If you weren’t able to make our Throwdown, here’s a taste of what you missed. Big thanks to Alissa Walker, Parker Kligerman, Gabe Klein, Alex, Stef, and Jason, for being our amazing panelists. We’ll have to get this crowd together again soon.
