Here's What the Electric Harley-Davidson Livewire Sounds Like
Here's What the Electric Harley-Davidson Livewire Sounds Like-August 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:14:05

The production electric motorcycle was revealed earlier this week, but the reveal failed to answer some important questions. We still don’t know the price, the range, the power, and we weren’t even sure what it would sound like. Well here it is, here’s the future sound of Harley-Davidson. It’s... fine?

Jalopnik News Editor Erik Shilling recently spent a week in the heart of Harley culture, and when he saw this clip he immediately expressed that this is not a noise your typical Harley rider would likely be happy to own.

He says Harley promised it would sound like a jet engine, but it actually sounds more like the terminal shuttles in the airport. I don’t mind it personally, but I do have to admit that it doesn’t share the same attitude as a loud rumbly noise complaint waiting to happen, which has been the go-to formula for the company so far.

But Harley-Davidson made the Livewire for the customer it wants, not necessarily the aging group of customers it has, though I’m sure it wouldn’t mind if they ended up liking this electric motorcycle too.
