The Space Shuttle Endeavour is on the way to Los Angeles where it will be displayed for posterity. It was flying on the back of a 747 yesterday and today on the way to its final destination.

And holy crap there it is right there!

NASA's Stephanie Stilson was flying in the C9 Pathfinder that was escorting the plane yesterday, and snagged this awesome picture of it from yards away.

Our own Jason Torchinsky is on his way to photograph the shuttle right now as it makes its way into LA, but we doubt he'll get this close.

What a way to say goodbye to the space shuttle program. And what a piggy back ride.
