Look at this tight little pass. Look and marvel. This is how Kyle Busch got back on the lead lap after being stuck a lap behind. Busch was on fresh tires, but the leaders were not. Since Busch had more speed, he just threaded right on through and got back on the lead lap.

That’s just a good close, but clean move. That’s how you get back in front.

Kyle Busch mistook the oil on the track surface as a problem with his own tires, prompting him to pit earlier than the others on lap 244 of 301. Lucky move? Lucky move.

Bonus: all the leaders pitted for tires shortly after this, handing Kyle Busch the lead. Another yellow came out for the oil on the surface shortly afterwards, locking Kyle in the front and everyone in their positions for a while.

Kyle . It’s fun to watch.

Busch held on to the lead with some help from a late-race yellow, cutting the number of points he needs to make it into the Chase for the Sprint Cup down to 54. This gives him three wins for the season—and that’s three of the last four races. The only driver with more wins this year is Jimmie Johnson, who has four.
