I Could Watch Cars Spin Out Behind This Porsche 911 All Day Long
I Could Watch Cars Spin Out Behind This Porsche 911 All Day Long-July 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:36

We love onboard videos. We also love interesting camera placements. Rear-facing cameras are fantastic for one big reason that’s often ignored: you can get a good look at all the people spinning out and causing mayhem behind you!

Welcome to , a feature where we spend that pesky time between races looking at awesome footage from inside the car.

This backwards-facing onboard camera from Martin Ragginger is a bit crazy, to say the least. Ragginger is near the front of the pack throughout this Carrera Cup Asia race at Inje Speedium International Circuit from 2013. What happens behind him is total mayhem: cars running into each other, spinning out and trying to claw their way up in front.

At once point, Ragginger runs a bit wide and takes a shortcut through the run-off to stay ahead of the pack, but the pack eventually catches up with him.

It’s madness back there in the pack, though. Sheer madness.

Helmut Marko Is Not OK
In my 15 or so years of watching Formula 1, I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed a crash — or at least one that could fairly be described as a “racing incident” — generate so much discussion as the one at last weekend’s British Grand Prix. Everyone lost their...
