Jalopnik Reviews: 2007 Ford Fusion SE, Part 3
Jalopnik Reviews: 2007 Ford Fusion SE, Part 3-February 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:10:21

: Handling, handling, handling, five-speed manual and handling. And while I find the appearance of the Fusion only half-baked, I know there are those out there who think it snazzy looking. The low price and relatively large size are a rarity in today's autodom. A similarly equipped Accord LX costs $2,000 more. The back seats are for real people. Even driving like a rev-happy dummy, the mileage was consistently better than advertised. The Fusion SE really is an outstanding value.

: Where's the beef? 9.3 seconds to get to sixty is not good. While the handling is top shelf, you'll never get going fast enough to exploit the chassis through quick, back-to-back turns. The upmarket SEL's V6 is an old dog. The engine from the Mazdaspeed6 is not an option. Neither is the wagon. It looks like a safety razor. The taillights look like they came off an Accord owned by a 17-year-old Korean kid. The interior makes Honda chuckle with schadenfreude and an Accord is worth the extra $2000. You are a big UAW booster and don't like that the Accord is built here, while the Fusion is hecho en Mexico.

For $48,000, This Is A Serious Syncro
For $48,000, This Is A Serious Syncro
The seller of today's Westfalia Syncro is serious about its price. With a flat six out of a Subaru SVX, the Vanagon itself is pretty serious, but is that price really a joke? Speaking of jokes, you've no doubt heard the one about the horse that walks into a bar...

1996 Mazda Miata: The Jalopnik Review
If you pose the question "what kind of car should I get" to anyone here on Jalopnik, the answer will invariably be "Miata," no matter what you need to do. Towing something? Miata. Date? Miata. First car? Miata. Moving to Alaska? Miata. Since 1989, the Mazda Miata has been THE...

Bajaj RE GDI (Tuk Tuk): The Jalopnik Classic Review
In this era of rising gas prices and tightening emissions standards, owning a car can be tough. On the other hand, turning in your keys to become a full on motorcycle rider is tricky when you have gym bags and children and other crap to cart around. Plus, they're messy...

For $9,500, Is This Mustang a Pony Express?
For $9,500, Is This Mustang a Pony Express?
You wouldn't think that foxes and ponies would go together so well, but the Fox-platform Mustang is that marque's longest-lived edition. Today's '82 GT puts more horse in the corral, but does its price mean the seller is also crazy like a fox? Not even a personal endorsement from the...

For $11,000, All I Want For Christmas Is These Two Fast Seats
If you wanted your own red sleigh for the holidays you could do worse than today's Mazda FD as instead of eight tiny reindeer it comes with eight big pots. Will its price however make you dash away, dash away, dash away all? Well, for those of you who celebrate...

For $12,500, This Linolnchero Will Let You Make Your Mark
Today's Lincoln Mark V Coloma custom will help you cart home in style all your holiday swag, but will its price require carting too much cash? Maybe it was the rum balls, or the mandatory mistletoe mischief - my lips are soo chapped - was the cause, but whatever the...
