Jalopnik Reviews: 2007 Saturn Sky, Part 3
Jalopnik Reviews: 2007 Saturn Sky, Part 3-July 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:10:21

It's got those cool dent-resistant plastic hydroformed sheetmetal body panels. Really though, the Sky looks boss, especially for a car priced in the mid-20's. It gives us hope for the American auto industry that they can still make fun cars.

The roof is annoying and trunk is pretty useless, and it should feel sportier. The 0-60 time is decent, but this is a sports car, not a family hauler, so the engine response and handling should be livelier. The 260-hp Sky Redline will fix many of these problems, for a price.

For $4,500, go slowly, but carry a big stick shift wagon
The French make some of the best food in the world, and in fact both their fries and toast have become staples of the American gastronome. Sadly, French cars never found as much favor, despite such offerings as today's Peugeot 504 estate. That's too bad, but could the reason be...

Electric DeLorean: First Drive
The DeLorean's long been associated with technology and performance, despite being saddled with a French-Swedish powerplant that made those associations slightly laughable. This weekend I drove the . Inside the armored SWAT truck of the future
Inside the armored SWAT truck of the future
There's a standoff downtown with heavily armed criminals. The SWAT team's been called in and they have two ways to get there: an unimposing bread delivery truck with flashing lights or a scary-but-slow converted tank. 's come up with a compromise: a bullet-proof, blast-resistant rolling bunker that looks like it...

For $18,995, duke it out
There's a chasm that lies between the major auto makers and kit car builders, call it the taint between the big boys and the homeboys. That's because it's pretty obvious that one t'aint t'other. Today's Jag SS evoking ‘Duke' closes that gap a bit, but is its price tainted? Okay,...
