Nice Price Or Crack Pipe: 1,427-Mile Mazda RX-4 For $18,500?
Nice Price Or Crack Pipe: 1,427-Mile Mazda RX-4 For $18,500?-May 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:10:20

We all love the Hurst Olds 442, of course, but 96% of us thought that for one, last time we had to choose between Nice Price and Booth Numbah Two. Today we've got another beloved classic, and the price is much lower. Is it low enough?

Ben Hsu over at found this 1,427-mile 1976 Mazda RX-4 for sale, and he was able to control his bouts of drooling and heart palpitations just long enough to send us the tip. According to the seller, the car ended up in storage as a result of a dealer-versus-buyer dispute 30 years ago, and the buyer's recent death puts it back on the market. Check out the velour! The science-fiction steering wheel! "Japanese air" in the tires! We totally want it, of course, but $18,500? What do you think?

There are those who claim to be able to reach across the ethereal plane, into another dimension, and speak with the dead. I will make no such claim. The best I could offer my friend was assistance in tracking down the plots containing his great grandfather and other relatives, buried...

The is the best car ever made. It redefines what performance cars are capable of, not by its numbers (the 0-to-60 in 3.3 seconds and a 205 MPH top speed figures are no longer noteworthy north of $100,000), but by how it makes those numbers so accessible. Simply put, the...

Only a couple of minutes into the briefing and already things are going bad. “The supercharged engine doesn’t trail off up to the 6,200 RPM redline, so on the track, you may find yourself hitting the rev limiter once or twice,” says a Cadillac spokesperson, preparing us for our first...

You've just been made junior partner at your law firm. You want to go fast, but you don't necessarily need to go the fastest. You want a car that handles well, but it's not like you're going to autocross it. You care about looking good but could care less if...

The is one of the few Japanese luxury cars with the aesthetics to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Europe's best, a fact helped by the coupe's bulging, enticing shoulders. The headlights may appear a bit doe-eyed from the front, but they stretch handsomely around the front fender, starting a line that flows...
