Nice Price Or Crack Pipe: Twin-Engine, Twin-Shifter Subueetle For 20 Grand?
Nice Price Or Crack Pipe: Twin-Engine, Twin-Shifter Subueetle For 20 Grand?-June 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:10:20

We're back for more harsh price judgment on possible cases of car-seller wishful thinking. Is a seller's asking price grounded in reality or indicative of overindulgence in those mean ol' Hubba Rocks? Yesterday, 61% of you thought that $97,000 was just way too much louie for . Was that because the '57 Chevy is just too common? How about something unique and handcrafted, guaranteed to make pedestrians walk into trees as you drive by? Say, the unholy union of a 1973 VW Beetle and a 1985 Subaru GL, with both engines still intact and functional and priced at $20,000? Working two gearshifts might be tricky, especially if the car also has two clutch pedals, but it goes without saying that this car must be driven using both engines simultaneously. Thanks to for the tip!

I Drove A Vintage Audi 4000 S Quattro And I Get It Now
I Drove A Vintage Audi 4000 S Quattro And I Get It Now
I never understood why there is still such a fierce cult of fascination around the Audis of the 1980s. Keeping one running is virtually impossible. Fans claw each other for increasingly rare, rusty, temperamental old cars and parts. This weekend I finally drove one and I totally get it now....

For $3,950, Could This 1987 Porsche 944 Be The Real Deal Working Man’s Porsche?
A Porsche executive was once asked why his company didn’t offer an entry-level car, to which he responded “we do, it’s called a used Porsche.” Today’s 944 is a used Porsche, but will it’s price let it level up? Here’s a fun tip: when cooking, stick a toothpick in the...

For $7,900, Would You Horse Around In This Eddie Bauer Edition 1987 Ford Bronco?
For $7,900, Would You Horse Around In This Eddie Bauer Edition 1987 Ford Bronco?
For those of you too impatient to wait for the next horsey Ford, today’s Bronco is a nice blast from the past to tide you over. However, will this clean truck’s price have your enthusiasm ebbing? Last Friday’s was confusingly offered up through a convoluted and somewhat sketchy manner. Its...

At $3,500, Would You Let This 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser Rust In Peace?
At $3,500, Would You Let This 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser Rust In Peace?
Today’s Toyota Land Cruiser has rust, enough that its seller warns that if you’re afraid of the creeping crud to stay away. He also says he’s priced the car accordingly. We’ll just have to see if there are holes in that assertion too. While it is true that the Porsche...

For $79,000, Is This Pulled-From-Storage 1970 Porsche 914-6 A Sick Six?
The seller of today’s Porsche calls it “probably the most significant 914-6 find in recent years.” He’s certainly priced it as such, and we’ll now need to decide if we find that price to be too significant. Are you old enough to remember when popular entertainment offered up the habitual...

I'm A High School Student Looking For My First Ride! What Car Should I Buy?
Who says the teens aren’t into cars? Joey is turning 16 soon and can’t wait to get his first set of wheels. He’s got a decent budget of up to ten grand and wants something fun, but it also needs to be safe. What car should he buy? (Welcome back...
