The DeltaWing's race ended in disappointment today after qualifying fifth for the start. Transmission issues after only an hour and 23 minutes halted the car, forcing it to be towed behind the wall.

Andy Meyrick was driving when the most unique car on the track came to a halt. They were the first retirement of the race today.

Sorry, DeltaWing fans. This isn't the weekend where the car finally gets it together. They're done already. Packin' it up to go home.

I love this car for its wacky packaging, so this was definitely not my pick for the first retirement of the race.
