GM has issued a recall on all 2013 Cadillac SRX crossovers with 3.6 liter engines built between May 29, 2012, and June 26, 2013. A problem with the computer-controlled transmission can cause a three-to-four second lag when the driver steps on the gas under certain conditions.

Specifically, the problem occurs if a driver brakes quickly while the SRX is in second gear, slows the vehicle to less than 5 MPH, then accelerates again as explained by the . No fiery deaths have been reported yet; sounds like an inconvenience in stop-and-go traffic though.

I have to admit the SRX is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. I've never driven one, but I like how Cadillac's angular body makes the crossover shape look a little less wimpy.
