Rally Sweden, Home Of Eating It In A Snowbank
Rally Sweden, Home Of Eating It In A Snowbank-May 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:45

Whatever you do, don't hit the piles of white fluffy stuff by the side of the road. Here are the highlights from this weekend's Rally Sweden, in all their snowbank-plowing glory.

Kris Meeke hit a snowbank. Jari-Matti Latvala and Elfyn Evans both got stuck in snowbanks. I'm tellin' you, man, snowbanks are evil.

Snowbanks affected everybody, including the poduim. Sebastien Ogier edged out Volkswagen teammate Andreas Mikkelsen on the last stage after Mikkelsen hit a snowbank. Ogier had been coming back from hitting a snowbank the previous day, but when Mikkelsen hit one on the last stage, it was game over. Mikkelsen lost his lead and the win.

Let's also not forget Thierry Neuville, who not only jumping Colin's Crest, but was in the lead after Saturday. Unfortunately, his Hyundai didn't have quite the pace of the Volkswagens, and he soon lost that lead to Mikkelsen, who was eventually passed by Ogier. He did come in second after Mikkelsen ate that snowbank at the end, though.

World Rally Championship driver Thierry Neuville just destroyed the jump record at Colin's Crest…

Snowbanks, man. Snowbanks.

The First Wet Formula E Race Was A Joy To Watch
I’m not sure how it took Formula E more than four seasons to finally have a rainy race, but the series’ drivers finally faced a bit of wet weather in Paris this weekend when a short torrential downpour in the later stages of the race caused quite a few...
