Renault attracted the world to its stage at the Johannesburg International Motor Show with the premiere of the Duster Detour Concept.
Renault revealed a teaser image and some details weeks before the show, saying they will use the motor show to globally unveil their one of a kind SUV in South Africa. The Renault Duster Detour (which you can read about here) is described as the alter ego of the recently launched Duster SUV, a mixture of the Terminator, and a sprinkling of Dakar dust.$
However this was not the only showstopper presented by Renault. Their line-up included 2014 SA Car of the Year finalist Clio Dynamique, the Clio Sport 200 EDC which is the flagship model of the new Clio range, the sophisticated Koleos, and the special edition Megane Sport RB8 which was released to celebrate Renault and Red Bulls third F1 Constructors world title.
Other models that were included in the fresh and attractive local line-up were the flagship Megane 1.4 Hatch GT-Line, the Renault Sandero Stepway which has successfully attracted a new customer base to the Renault brand with no less than 3000 sales achieved in 2012, and there was the new Fluence Dynamique 2.0-litre sedan which is now available with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and is the third and final variant in the models 2013 Phase 2 line-up.
