*Pictured is the standard Renault Sandero, but we’ve given it a RenaultSport paintjob*
Renault has released a teaser video of its forthcoming Sandero RS which has been developed by RenaultSport. Details remain scarce at this point, but the teaser video does show LED daytime running lights and a revised bumper.
The Renault Sandero RS will take on a more sporty look with aggressive bumpers, larger brakes, dual exhausts, large alloy wheels and revised suspension to live up to its RS name. Other exterior details may include glossy mirror caps and blackened front and rear light clusters.
Engine choice for the Sandero RS is still a mystery at this point, but reports are pointing to the use of a naturally aspirated four-cylinder 2.0-litre engine derived from the Brazilian-spec Duster, which will offer 107 kW.
Unfortunately the Renault Sandero RS will only be produced specifically for markets in Latin America, but you never know.South Africa has proven a good market for the Sandero, Stepway and Duster vehicles and we could receive this performance model.
Here is the teaser video and below that is a glimpse of the Renault Sandero RS on track.
