Rewind your mind to 2 August 2019 when the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ became the first hypercar to exceed 300 miles per hour or 483 kph and achieve a speed of 490.484 kph. That was an incredible milestone for the French hypercar manufacturer.
Up until that point, the Chiron Super Sport 300+ was not for sale to the public but shortly after the record run, Bugatti announced that it would build 30 production examples of the Chiron Super Sport 300+ and the spy shots you see here show the road-going production version undergoing some testing.
The Chiron Super Sport 300+ is powered by a thunderous W16 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged engine, dubbed Thor, that produces a mighty 1 176 kW and no less than 1 600 Nm and makes use of a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Unlike the record-breaking car, the production version has a higher ride height for normal road driving and its interior has a passenger seat and the roll cage has been removed.
All 30 units are expected to be finished in black with orange stripes just like the record-setting car.
How much will it cost you ask? How does R90 million grab you?
