Tesla Recalls Nearly 30,000 Model Xs for Airbag Issue
Tesla Recalls Nearly 30,000 Model Xs for Airbag Issue-February 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:12:01

A white 2022 Tesla model X.

is almost 30,000 because the passenger airbag may not correctly deploy in a low-speed crash. According to the ’s website, if the front seat passenger is young, unbelted, and out of position, they could be injured by the piece of safety equipment.

That being said, as of this writing, Tesla is not aware of any crash, injuries, or deaths related to the defect, according to its filing with the NHTSA.

Like many Tesla recalls, the fix can be administered in an over-the-air update. NHTSA says letters informing owners are expected to go out January 14.

This is just the latest recall, with other recalls covering issues with forward collision avoidance, seat belts, and pinchy windows, among other things. This recall also comes just a little bit over a week since electric sedans because of a power steering issue.

If you believe your Tesla could be a part of this or the other aforementioned recalls, you can also check Jalopnik’s recall guide, by clicking .

The 2021 Kia Sorento Took Good Notes From The Telluride
The 2021 Kia Sorento, a large-medium sized SUV, bowed today and a lot of the look is clearly cribbed from the successful full-sized Kia Telluride. It totally works, too. I’d count on seeing quite a few of these on American roads soon. Kia is calling this fourth-gen Sorento a...

The Tesla Model S Plaid Will Start At $139,990 And Run A Sub-9 Second Quarter Mile
Okay guys, this is getting ridiculous. I thought we’d reached the peak of quarter mile insanity when Lucid told me that the tri-motor Air could spit out a 9.3-second run down the 1320. In Tuesday’s Tesla Battery Day announcement, however, company mascot and lunatic prophet Elon Musk announced that...

Tesla’s Battery Day was today, in which CEO Elon Musk said the company has the technology or will soon have the technology for a 56 percent reduction in how much it costs them to make batteries. This is all part of Tesla’s plan to someday make a $25,000 car....
